The Vegaøyan World Heritage Foundation has, on behalf of the birdtenders in Vegaøyan sent a message of concern to UNESCO based on the critical situation that prevails for our seabird populations. The World Heritage in Vegaøyan is an interaction between humans and nature and when the conditions for our World Heritage are challenged we are obliged to report it.
UNESCO is requesting answers from Norway on how Norwegian national authorities will handle the situation and the further development of the Vegaøyan World Heritage Site.
