The purpose of the foundation is to help safeguard the values and qualities that form the basis for the designation of Vegaøyan as a World Heritage Site. In order to fulfill this purpose, the foundation will work on documentation, dissemination/information, conservation/restoration measures and networking/collaboration.

The Vegaøyan World Heritage Foundation therefore wishes to announce grants to teams and associations working to promote and support the values of the Vegaøyan World Heritage Area. The funds must be used for specific projects and measures. Applications must include a project description and financing plan. Applications should be sent to post@verdensarvvega.no.
