Position available as World Heritage Coordinator and General Manager Vegaøyan World Heritage

The Vegaøyan World Heritage Foundation has a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as World Heritage Coordinator and General Manager of the Vegaøyan World Heritage Foundation from January 1, 2025. Application deadline is August 17, 2024.

The Vegaøyan World Heritage Foundation was established by the municipality of Vega and its main task is to promote and protect the world heritage values. As general manager of the Foundation, the main task is to promote the World Heritage values through the annual work plan, based on the most important tasks in the management plan for Vegaøyan World Heritage.

The position of general manager of the Foundation is also assigned the function of World Heritage Coordinator. The World Heritage Coordinator's core task is to identify and protect the natural and cultural heritage of the Vegaøyan World Heritage Site. The position is one of nine in Norway and the coordinators have regular contact and annual meetings with government agencies.
