Event at Vega
"Sound of Silence" continues at Vega on July 1-3, with the 20th anniversary of the World Heritage Site on July 1, an island trip to Lånan on July 2, and a seabird conference on July 3, where Nina Jensen, commander of the research vessel REV Ocean, and photographer Arne Nævra will attend. Invitations are currently being sent out to several interested parties. We are also pleased that Birdlife Norway South Helgeland has signaled interest in participating.
Children and young people play an important role in the program. The middle school at Vega School is creating the song performance "Viser fra horisonten" about the song poets Bjørnar Stensholm and Emelius i Kvalholmen, which will be performed both before the end of school and on July 1.
At Vega World Heritage Center, the concert story "Moments between down and wings" is currently being made. It is about the eider ducklings Eli and Emrik. "Øyeblikk mellom dun og vinger" will be performed in Lånan on June 2. Bente Mari Mortensen, an educator at the World Heritage Center, is the composer, musician and organizer of the concert story.
