"Sound of Silence" continues at Vega July 1st - 3rd, with the 20th anniversary of the World Heritage Site on July 1st, island tour to Lånan July 2nd and a seabird conference on July 3rd, where Nina Jensen, head of the research vessel REV Ocean and photographer Arne Nævra will be present. Invitations are currently being sent out to several interested parties. We are also pleased that Birdlife Norway, South Helgeland Department, has indicated interest in participating.

Children and young people play an important role in the program. The middle school at Vega School is creating the song performance "Viser fra horisonten" about the song poets Bjørnar Stensholm and Emelius i Kvalholmen, which will be performed both before the end of school and on July 1.

At the Vega World Heritage Centre, the concert story "A Moment Between Down and Wings" is currently being produced. It is about the eider chicks Eli and Emrik. "A Moment Between Down and Wings" is being shown in Lånan June 2. Mediator at the World Heritage Centre, Bente Mari Mortensen is a composer, musician and arranger of the concert narrative.
